Address autofill

Address autofill for Shopify checkout

Once a shopper confirms their mobile number, the details saved against it come back already filled in: name, delivery address, phone and email. The first checkout screen becomes something to check, not a form to fill — and every field stays editable.

What is prefilled

Four details the shopper does not retype

Name

The name the order is delivered to.

Delivery address

The full address, shown next to the order summary.

Phone number

The mobile number the shopper just confirmed.

Email

The shopper's email address.

When it applies

Conditions for autofill

Details are prefilled when both of these are true:

  • The mobile number is verified. The shopper enters it and confirms it with a one-time code. That confirmation is what lets saved details come back, so nothing is shown before it.
  • Details are saved for that number. A returning shopper's details come back; a number with nothing saved gets an empty form instead.

For how customer data is stored and protected, see the security answers in the FAQ, or ask the team for specifics.

Review and edit

The shopper stays in control of their details

Prefilled is not locked. Anything that has changed — a new flat, a different recipient — is edited in place before payment.

  1. Details appear

Name, address, phone and email show next to the order summary.

  2. Shopper checks them

Nothing is submitted until they continue.

  3. Edit if needed

The Edit control on the delivery details opens them for changes.

  4. Continue to payment

The confirmed details go with the order.

Fallback

When nothing is prefilled

A first-time shopper, or a number with no saved details, gets the delivery details form instead. They type it once, and the rest of the checkout is unchanged: the same order summary, the same UPI-first payment step and the same confirmation.

Yes. RabbitPay pre-fills the customer's saved address at checkout, so shoppers type less, make fewer address errors, and move through checkout faster.

How address autofill works

The shopper's name, delivery address, phone number and email. They appear next to the order summary, already filled in, once the mobile number has been confirmed with a one-time code.

Yes. Prefilled details are editable before payment, so a shopper sending an order to a different address changes it in the checkout rather than starting over.

Nothing is prefilled, and the shopper enters their delivery details. The rest of the checkout — the order summary, the payment step and the confirmation — is the same.

Yes. RabbitPay follows industry-standard security practices to protect your customer and transaction data.
